Biography
Justman was born in 1926; attended UC Los Angeles (1946-48); began his career in 1950 on
independent films and became an asst. director in 1953; affiliated with Herb Solow and
Gene Roddenberry and was hired as the asst. director on "The Cage," the first "
Star
Trek
"
pilot (1964); was assoc. producer for the series and co-producer for "
Star
Trek
"'s final
season; worked with Roddenberry to help create and produce "
Star
Trek
: the Next
Generation" (1986).
Scope and Content
Collection consists of original "
Star
Trek
" scripts. Scripts include production
materials such as shooting schedules, cast lists, title sheets, special photographic
effects lists, and credits. Most of the scripts have Justman's name or initials on the
front cover and minor annotations or lines in the text.
